being limited to a PC, I don't have a great deal of choice at the moment. especially with at least 2 weeks before the best ever spiritual sequel arrives

It's even worse than all the bad bits of DS Wario and GC Wario put together. Also, I think the graphics only really work on a tiny screen. Twisted on a GBA Micro - that's what you want.

Am I missing how you get to play a game on it's own? If I go to the house of form or whatever, I can play individual games but only 3 times! What happened to be able to play one game over and over, faster and faster? That was one of the best things.

Hmmm... you were raving about it just a few weeks back. What's wrong with it?

I can see that it definitely won't be worth 40 though - maybe I should give in and import Twisted instead then.

I would - Twisted is so much the better game. Which when you think about it doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever because the Wii should theoretically be able to do everything that Twisted does but even more so.

So why is it just so rubbish then? I was raving about it but it's literally one of those games that you play through once to unlock all the various zones, unlock multiplayer, then ditch like a plague-infested sore.

This is actually a pretty cool little distraction. Manages to stop me doing much work anyway!

I'm curious, though, as all the Wario Ware games seem to suffer from longevity issues. Is Twisted really that much better in that respect?

So now you've changed your mind (slightly) from the review, where do you stand on the Wario vs Rabbids debate?
If you could only afford one, which one would you get?

Annoyingly I haven't got Rabbids yet because (lying bastard) Gameplay haven't shipped the free copy they promised for letting me down with the Wii launch.

But from the bits I've played of Rabbids, I'd still say that WarioWare is the better game - just that both are utterly shallow experiences unless...and here's the crux of the matter...unless you're playing them in a sociable setting with lots of people taking turns. THEN they're worth their weight in gold, both of 'em.

Not really - but there are some really clever little games in there, not just heavy reliance on the tilt mech either.

Put Socom 3 on last night (it's been on the shelf for about eight months). Had to check I wasn't emulating a PS1 game. Graphically it's a shocking step backwards from the second game. Environments are much bigger and now boast vehicles... but the game world is empty. I gave it some time, and managed to start enjoying it - but playing some of the shooters on the 360 (graphics aside) really puts something like this into perspective. Shockingly dated and limited gameplay.

I actually completed Rayman yesterday. It's a decidedly average game that only stands out thanks to its fantastic presentation. Some of the mini-games are fun, most are repetitive and rather dull - but it's worth playing just to see the Rabbids in action. Really brilliant character design.

Was slightly freaked out by their appearance in Red Steel too :) Though that's one of the best bits of the game by far.

I've got way too much stuff on at the moment, have review code piling up.

But as far as playing for fun goes...

In the next hour I reckon I'll be beating Bill Door at FIFA 07.

I've hardly played Lost Planet and Tiger Woods 07 so I'm thinking of selling them both and then feel I can get on and finish Rainbow Six Vegas.

I'm promised my copy of Battlestations Midway from Eidos tomorrow. Already have final debug code but alas our debug console is in Copenhagen, a fat lot of good that is to me. :)

Today's choices:

Lost Planet
Jump Ultimate Stars
Ryu ga Gotoku 2

Lost Planet is looking favorite as I haven't started the other two yet, so I may as well finish that first.

Got my GC Zelda and Freeloader. After some faffing around trying to get the freeloader to work on my Wii (Seems to need you to press the reset button before you load it), I'm now playing that, the UFO: Afterlight demo and Blue Dragon. Very impressed with Zelda so far, lovely stuff

PhAge is sending me over Saints Row (Swapping for Viva Pinata). So I'll be giving that a bash.

Other than that, Zelda (Snow Peak Area) + Hotel Dusk (Chapter 8).

I'm enjoying both very much, so no real rush for somehting else.

Didn't spot this at the time. Would just like to say I completely and utterly wiped the floor with him, showed no mercy, took no prisoners and generally gave him no hope for the future :D :D :D

Having soft modded my xbox, tonight might be some dungeon master fun on the old emulator. Either that or I might fire up the RSG ISO I have on a Saturn emu (I have a Saturn mod chip but haven't got round to soldering it in as yet). Maybe, just maybe, a bit of Fifa too :D

I will hopefully be playing Red Steel or Zelda this weekend. Unless the parcel from Amazon doesn't turn up. In which case I will try to pick up Excitetruck on the way home.
I'll also be playing two rounds of (real) golf so not actually sure how much gaming time there will be!

Lots of Okami.

I might pick up Supreme Commander this weekend, but I need to find a demo first to check that it is actually playable on the Macbook.

It's out next week :o (the 23rd)

Getting started on Okami this weekend. It's been hard, but I've been putting it off all week so I could finish up a few other games. I'll probably end up playing WoW too.

Crackdown is 23/2.

Somehow maven got hold of an Austrian copy a couple of days ago.

I'll be playing Lost Planet, Midway, Chromehounds and finally Armed Assault on the PC over the weekend. I think I'll stay at home and try and shift this bloody cold once and for all.

GAME are still saying ArmA is £24.99 on their website, I'm rather confused they only charged me the Gameplay price of £21.99, not complaining though.

/drives off in Stryker

/hopes loband doesn't double post, I can't get to AATG directly as there appears to be a proxy/net connection problem at work
