I've got a bizarre and slightly vague idea for a new feature - about really awful games. I'm not really talking about the stuff it's become trendy to bash but am after the real stinkers. Stuff like Over the Road Truckers and Lula 3D / The Sexy Empire.

So in your honest opinion, what's the worst game you've ever played since you first picked up a joystick?

Gooooo team!

Crazy Cars on the Atari ST by Titus. The car models looked ace but every time you got nudged your car would stop, allowing all the other cars to catch up and nudge you, until you were last.

Every
Single
Fucking
Time.

Konami's Rock Revolution for the DS.

Sadly I bought it for 35 quid (reduced from 40 quid) in a sale. And still felt ripped off.

Dynasty Warriors 6 (Hello, pop-up)

Oni (Camera, controls... why couldn't the PS2 version be similar to the Mac demo I played)

Luckily I didn't pay for the DW and only paid very little for Oni.

I think one of the all time worst had to be Back to the Future on the C64.

Horribly horribly horribly broken game with one of the worst examples of SID buggeration I've ever laid earholes on.

Before that, Supergran on the ZX Spectrum. Consisted of three piss-easy levels. Once completed, the game just ended....

God, yes; it showed so much promise, but was utterly unplayable. Thankfully, just like everyone else, I think I only paid a tenner for it.

The tape version of Alice in Wonderland on the C64 wouldn't let you proceed past the end of the first load because no bugger had changed the programming, so it still asked you to insert the next floppy disk.

Yipes!!!

There were a lot of really iffy games back in the 8 bit home micro era. I seem to remember quite a few of those dodgy Mastertronic 1.99 jobs being distinctly unfinished.

C64 versions of Afterburner, Chase HQ and Thunderblade.

I knew they'd be rubbish, but it still ruined Xmas two years running. Thanks Ocean (and Activision for Afterburner).

Far too many 8 bit games so unless i think of an awesome example i'll not bother with them but the one that springs to mind is Matrix: Reloaded especially the PC port.

I want back the time i spent playing that game.

Some of it was OK but yeah I'd like the time back I spent piloting the ship at the end. That bit was utterly shit.

Oh god yes. Those were fucking awful.

I still vote for Vampyre on the C64. A bad game on the Spectrum ported straight across. I felt ripped off and it was a budget game.

Dangerous Streets on the CD32.

Jesus... It came with the console as it was supposed to show off the "power" of the CD32.
