It's on Reuters and the LA Times sites. And Farrah Fawcett has died as well.

Wow.

The man seriously didn't want to do those concerts did he?

Lets remember him as the musical genius behind Thriller and not the mentalist washed up has been he became.

I've had a few now...

Last I saw last night there was suggestion he'd taken two dozen sleeping pills...

Pretty much this. Sad for his kids and his family. Some of the hypocrisy on the news this morning has been stunning.

Hardly a word about Farrah though, poor old gal looked properly fucked up last photos I saw of her

Just saw this, it's better to remember the poor sod for is good days, but we better also not forget the the child abuse scandal.

Shame for Farrah though... :(

Apparently the autopsy was inconclusive. Couldn't determine whether it was a heart attack or whether MJ was visiting the children's ward of the hospital and had a stroke...

He hasnt been this stiff since Macauley Culkin came over to stay for the weekend.

Reports of his ashes being put into Etch a Sketches so kids can still play with him are unfounded.

1. Anyone creeped out by the Michael Jackson ad on the front page?

2. You'd think all his supposed fans making a mad rush on his music might've tried buying it when he was actually alive and gave a shizzle?

Interesting facts from the autopsy:

1. He really was suffering from vitiligo, which caused the skin de-pigmentation

2. He is virtually bald, and wore a wig. Some parts of his head are completely bald as a result of the episode where his hair caught fire

3. Face tattoos: "had his eyeliner, lips and eyebrows permanently tattooed. There is a skin discoloration resembling a tattoo on the front half of the scalp. There are dark tattoos in the areas of his eyebrows and on eyelid. There is also a pink tattoo on his lips."

4. Extremely underweight: He had only pills in his stomach. He "weighed just 136 lbs which could indicate anorexia"

5. In addition to broken ribs from the resuscitation attempt, "the report also found unexplained bruising on Micahel Jackson’s knees and on the fronts of both shins. And there were cuts on his back, indicating a recent fall."

6. Drug cocktail: "Coroner confirmed that Micahel Jackson died of “acute propofol intoxication” however large amount of other drugs including lorazepam, midazolam, lidocaine, diazepam and nordiazepam were also indentified in blood samples."

Blimey. Considering his condition, it's amazing he was able to string together some moves for his upcoming tour (some of the footage shot of him dancing before he died beggars belief. Not his old self but he could still certainly move).

Reckon the knee / shin scrapes were from falling over so many times while rehearsing, probably.

I watch young dancers and I feel pain on their behalf. I can't imagine what it is for a 50-year-old.

I seriously doubt he would have pulled off all those consecutive O2 dates, even if they had gone ahead. Sounds like he was running off fumes.

I dunno you can do a lot more than you think running on fumes, especially drug fumes.

Heh i haven't even made it to 30, and some of mine are already battered and been threatened with surgery. Some of them are still very solid though.

Really hate the stuff but I'm chugging strong cod liver oil tablets and it helps a bit. I think my joints have had too many years of abuse from skating / skateboarding / hockey so I'm not surprised they sound like a creaky barn door.
