Just wondering. Got the week off, fancy getting my teeth into a game and have had this sat on my shelf since it was released. Spent most of today sleeping so I'm going for a 24 hour sesh. Lots of Pepsi, popcorn, onion rings and bacon should see me through.

I'm a bit anal when it comes to RPG's in that I usually have to do all the sidequests.

Alternatively, I've just got to the Brotherhood in Fallout 3...I could pick up there but it started to bore me (stopped playing about 2 months ago). Would that be a better bet to complete?

Finally, is this rational for a man approaching his 33rd birthday?

I got bored of it after a couple of hours. I may get around to it again at some point but the shooting wasn't really good enough and I wasn't that interested in the story.

Anything else on the shelf?

I'm bored titless of it already. I thought KotOR started slow.

Oblivion, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Stranglehold, UFC, Battlefield Bad Company, Crackdown, Bioshock and Far Cry 2 are all unplayed. Hmm I must stopping buying new games at full price :|

Crackdown, possibly followed by Bioshock looks like the best of those there unless you really want to go for an RPG.

Crackdown is fairly short and is good and dumb fun. Bioshock is brilliant for around 6 hours until a specific section you'll know when you get to it. You don't really need to play beyond that point.

Is it? I'm still playing it after two and a half years since its release. :)

Bioshock is a great next recommendation. In fact, you've got an awful lot of good games there.

Oh, UFC! I've barely touched that since release day... think I have your trouble with buying games, furbs.

I completed Mass Effect in 12 hours, and that was even while doing several side missions. It didn't feel like I was rushing it at all.

I feel your pain Furbs - Mass Effect just didn't grab me at all. I'd suggest Oblivion, but you've only got a week, and I think you might end up with no sleep at all if you started that. I'd complete some of the quicker games instead for a sense of achievement, starting with Bioshock.

I have to admit I really enjoyed Mass Effect and am keenly awaiting the second instalment but then I'm a bit strange.

I have to second the suggestions of Crackdown though, very enjoyable.

I loved Mass Effect and Fallout, although ME did drag a bit at the Garage section.

HOWEVER, more to the point, if you have Bioshock sitting unplayed on your shelf then unwrap that IMMEDIATELY!

Fallout I can take or leave at the moment. This may have something to do with the fact that the green text is difficult to read on by standard TV. It's annoying.

Mass Effect actually put me to sleep. Got to the Citadel bit, thought "ah this looks like a HiDef remake of Taris from KotOR" then fell asleep as I started finding out more and more a plot which was blatantly obvious where it was going. If it had had the Star Wars licence maybe I'd have kept going (especially as Jane Shepherd is a fox) but it was just too much hard work. Maybe Crackdown then (seen I realised I've left Bioshock at my gf's).

Is BF:BC much cop in single player?

I enjoyed what I saw of it. Though I mostly dabbled in the multiplayer side of things.
