Is the game engine shite or is this just a bad port?

At times it seems to run at 15fps and really doesn't look like it's doing anything to justify that. Looks a bit like an upscaled PS2/Xbox game actually.

No it really is this bad.

I couldn't believe that Ubi actually used real in-game footage in the ads (as opposed to their usual trick of using high quality CGI movies).

It's laughable. It really is last-gen looking.

I played 30 minutes of the 360 version and could happily never play it again.

Which I really hate as it will forever show up in my achievements list. 30/1000.

Had a mate 'round last night and he played it.

Comment: "Well, they deserve a bit of respect because they did Blueshoft, but that's rubbish"

I like how the grenades can dismember Nazis. Otherwise, played like a five-year-old game. Day of Defeat looked better! :D

Sad thing about it is that it's based on a campaign I'd really like to see someone do justice to in a WWII game.

Bet the COD5 lot are laughing up their sleeves though.

It's a shame - the first two are amongst the best looking games on the Xbox.

Well, fuck all of you... I played the demo, and actually really liked it.

More than the CoD5 beta, strangely...

This game looks terrible, but the actual game is rather fun.

I loved the first game, and I might pick this up if it's really cheap.

Funnily enough, I played right through this (360)- the change of pace (from the frenetic COD4) was probably what kept me at it.

Sure, if the Germans had fought WWII with as crappy AI as is found in this then the may have lasted only 6 months.

Some of the levels did look quite atmospheric only to be ruined by the atrocious character models and Halo 2-levels of late pop-in. Many times the over-shoulder zoom left me with no sight on a target which was somewhat frustrating and don't get me started on the plot. The convoluted, poorly directed (and ongoing I gather) tale was absolute bollocks but thankfully didn't hinder the gameplay at all.

Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised at the paltry 13 I was offered as a trade.
