Got questions about the game you want answers to? Post em here and I'll see what I can do.

Bioware's big sci-fi RPG for the 360. MS's main title of the year after Halo 3 comes out.

I'm curious as to see if I like this. I liked and completed both KotOR games, despite not being into RPGs, but I wonder how much of that was due to the Star Wars licence?

I'm pretty certain if it had been generic sci fi settings and regular swords/magic instead of lightsabres and the Force, I'd have lost interest.

This should be considerably different, the battles themselves (from what I've seen - I haven't been following too closely) are pretty much completely in real time and very un-RPG like.

You got some insider info Khanivor or are you just very keen on the game?

I know someone on the dev team meself but suspect he wouldn't tell me feck all about it.

But anyway, definitely looking forward to it. Thought the E3 showing was a little weak but if they can honstly deliver on the promised scope and scale of the thing it's gonna be amazing. Definitely on my list for this year.

What I mean is I'm sending some questions to a PR spod who will pass em on to a dev or two and force them to answer them so as to promote the game.

So as I've done in the past when I've a Q&A for the site I write for I'm giving the folks here a chance to get their questions asked. I'm either being very democratic, or rather lazy. Or both :P

Does being evil equal being stupid like it always seems to in Bioware games?

I enjoy their stuff but anyone doing something dodgy in one of them may as well have a "I'm stupid" badge on their character.

Good question. Hopefully being a baddie means being craft and manipulative, along with loads of unneccessary slaughter.

Can you be 'evil' in this? I thought the idea was to play as a distinctly hero-type guy who saves humanity?

Again, I haven't been following this closely so feel free to kick me up the arse.

Does anyone know how deep/superficial the galaxy travelling will be? The cynic in me thinks there will only be something like 15 planets to choose from la Kingdom Hearts.

I find it hard to get into most RPGs but I do look forward to this.

Will the NPCs ever flatly refuse to go along with your actions? That could make inter-party diplomacy pretty important if you really need a certain character.

Also, how 'automated' is the battle system. Can you just point the characters at enemies and let them get on with it or do you have to physically aim?

Nothing wrong with saving humanity while being a self-interested bastard while you're doing it.

I'd similarly want to know if the good / evil stuff is "granular" - in other words, if you're playing it in a truculent mood, can you just have a session where you're a complete cuntwad to everyone, without it really knackering the game for you later on?

Also - Tearing, g'wan, might as well float that one out there because IIRC both KOTORs tore like buggery.

Quite - it worked for Han Solo. Well, until they decided to hero him up during Empire...

This is the game above all others that I bought a 360 for. Questions...oh, hot topic at the moment - did they manage to fit it all on one DVD (that should give us an idea of the scope). And also, since the game is part of a trilogy, how far apart are they going to space the releases. And what downloadable content is planned.

Only one question really, it won't get probably an answer anyway: will there ever be a PC version? KotOR was an Xbox exclusive for about 4 months; why not repeat the same motif with Mass Effect?

What I mean is that I thought the game was based around a *very* fixed narrative. I'm distinctly less interested if it's set-up like KOTOR was.

It is? That's cool, in one way, but slightly off-putting in others. I thought that was just Too Human, maybe I had them the wrong way around.

Don't know about Too Human, ilm, but Mass Effect definitely is. And all to be released in the lifetime of the 360 apparently. I'm hoping that the reason the first one is so late is because they've been spending time sorting out at least the second one to follow on in at most a year.

Ah, right. I really hope it's a trilogy of the 'related themes/universes' kind rather than a Lord pf the Rings 'one story split into three' kind.

Oh, I thought of another one:

Is the rather excellent music in the early previews (especially that one demoing the combat system) representative of what is actually in the game. If so how much is there in the game and will we be able to buy a Soundtrack CD? Also, who wrote it?
