Zen Studios, masters of virtual pinball videogames, today let it be known that their critically acclaimed arcade style pinball game Zen Pinball 2 will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop on Wii U later this month in both North America and Europe. Like the Xbox and PS3 versions Zen Pinball 2 will be a free platform download for all users, including free trials for each table and a huge library of exciting pinball tables for purchase, including the Super Hero themed Marvel Pinball series, and the fun zombie themed Plants vs. Zombies table.

Zen Pinball 2 is going to be full of exciting Wii U GamePad features such as controlling the plunger on the touch screen, rotating camera views, accessing information via the dot matrix, and Free View control by tilting the Wii U GamePad.

Additional features will include-:

Unprecedented table visuals and the most advanced ball physics on Wii U.

Trial version for all tables, so you try them out before you buy them.

Local Hotseat multiplayer, and fast paced Split-screen multiplayer game modes.

Action cameras to guide and emphasize spectacular moments.

Ranking support for all tables, National Ranking, and Worldwide tournaments.

Continue playing on the Wii U GamePad if the TV is occupied, so that would be me then.

Robust social features with Challenges, Pro Score, and Team Score. It’s up to you to become the Pinball Champion!

Awards for each table

Regular table releases through the Nintendo eShop

All in all it's sounding rather amazing, and it makes me want a Wii U more than ever. How about it Father Christmas?
